Blue Summit Lots and Stumps
The town's housing records point to three things that shape how we plan a stump job here: the age of the houses, the size of the town, and who owns the homes.
- 1982
- median year the town's homes were built
- 364
- homes in the whole town
- 57.2%
- of occupied homes lived in by their owners
Half of the town's homes went up before 1982, and the shade trees planted with them have had decades to spread roots under lawns, drives and fence lines. When one of those trees comes down, we plan to grind out the surface roots running from the stump as well as the stump itself, so the mower does not find them next summer.
With 364 homes in all, it is a small town where a neighbor often has a stump too. Mention it on the call and we can look at both on the same trip.
A little over half the homes, 57.2 percent, are lived in by their owners. If you rent, the stump belongs to the owner, so we quote the job to whoever signs off on it and are glad to talk with them directly.
